MGCplus Assistent by HBM (Hottinger Baldwin Messtechnik) is a configuration and commissioning tool for the MGCplus data acquisition platform. It helps engineers and technicians quickly set up devices, parameterize channels, and verify sensor connections before running measurements.
Key capabilities include automatic detection of connected MGCplus frames and amplifier modules; guided channel configuration for common sensor types (such as strain gauges, voltage, current, and thermocouples); sensor scaling and calibration routines (including shunt checks); live value monitoring for functional verification; saving and loading complete hardware configurations; and system status and diagnostics to help troubleshoot issues. The tool also offers basic recording functions for quick validation, while leaving in-depth data acquisition and analysis to your primary measurement software.
